Kids 4-9 can try hockey for free Saturday in Monument

Monument Ice Rinks is giving the youth of the Monument and Colorado Springs area an opportunity to lace up a pair of ice skates and try hockey for the first time. Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, children ages 4 to 9 can enjoy free hockey with equipment provided. Children of all skill levels are welcome. Parents can sign up for one of three sessions. The first runs from 9 to 9:45 a.m., the second runs 10-10:45 a.m. and the final session runs from 4:15-5 p.m. The rink is located at 16240 Old Denver Road. Former Boston Bruins defenseman Al Pedersen will be in attendance at all three sessions. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
